Clearview Animal Hospital will be closed on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28th in observance of Thanksgiving.
When we are closed our main phone line will, as always, contain information about local and regional ER and urgent care services; and you can find a convenient list below. For non-emergency needs, you may email us at [email protected] or text us at (717) 370-6903 and a member of our team will get back to you when we reopen. So, remember this THANKSGIVING holiday season: - KEEP the feast on the table.... - NO pie or other desserts for your pets.... - REMEMBER: yeast dough can cause problems for your pets... - PUT the trash away where your pets cannot find it.... - BE careful with a variety of decorative plants.... - QUICK action can often saves lives.... Eating turkey or turkey skin, even in small amounts, can potentially cause a life-threatening condition known as pancreatitis. Fatty foods are hard for animals to digest. Onions, grapes, and raisins are also poisonous to pets. Leave your feast on the table and treat your furry family members to yummy treats made just for them. If you believe that your pet has been poisoned or has eaten something they shouldn't have, immediately utilize any of the phone numbers listed below for emergency and urgent care during the holiday. You can also call the ASPCA Poison Control Center (888-426-4435) or the Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661); note that a fee may apply. Signs to look for include sudden behavior changes, depression, discomfort or pain, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. We appreciate having you as a client and as a friend. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and to yours! Doris LaFaver, DVM WE LOVE YOUR PETS! |

Clients are welcome to enter the building to check in for appointments. If you prefer, you can still call or text us when you arrive for your appointment and we will let you know when we have room available for you inside.
We are no longer requiring masks for clients or staff. Let us know if you would prefer curbside service for your pet's appointment.
Due to high call volumes throughout the day, you may have difficulty reaching our front desk staff. We now have an automated phone system so that we do not miss your call. We apologize for any inconvenience and are doing our best to assist everyone in turn. Please start by calling us at 717-632-4757. If the receptionists are on another call or are assisting clients at the desk, you will be given the opportunity to leave a general voice mail message. In addition, you can opt to text us at 717-370-6903 or email us at [email protected]. There is sometimes a delay between when you text/email and when those messages are received, so please be patient if we do not respond immediately.
There has been an unprecedented surge in the number of patients that local vets are seeing on a daily basis and our dedicated staff is working hard to keep up with the increased workload. We are trying our best to help as many patients as our schedule will allow. This means that we may be scheduling out several weeks for routine things and we are only taking new clients on a limited basis at this time. Our current clients take priority when scheduling appointments. We appreciate all of your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate this less than ideal situation and do our best to provide the kind of care for your pets that you expect from us.
